Boston Temple

I flew home for Christmas, and took out my own endowment on December 30, 2009 at the Boston Massachusetts Temple.
It was a very over-whelming day, and I am so grateful I was able to have my Mom and Dad there with me!!

My nephew!

Jayden Anthony... the little boy that stole all our hearts this Christmas season...I finally was able to meet my three month old nephew this Christmas, and boy was he a cute little thing! I don't think a baby could have had a better life... He ate (a lot), dirtied his diaper MANY times (and I didn't have to change one :) ), fell asleep in your arms, laughed during bathtime, wiggled, and just loved to smile. It's amazing what a little spirit can do and just all the love that he can bring into a room. My sister and brother n' law brought an sweet little spirit into the world, and I am so grateful that I am able to be part of it :)
This was bathtime.. Jayden LOVES taking baths...

We sure do love this little guy!!!

It must be those eyes!

Merry Christmas!

The night before I took off back East for the Holidays, John took me to Temple Square. We watched the Joseph Smith movie and walked around to look at all the Christmas lights. So Pretty, and not too crowded :)

Halloween Night

If anyone knows me, they know that Halloween is that one holiday that I just can not stand. At Platinum, every year people get dressed up and they give out awards for the best costume. Working really close with HR, I help organize and get things all situated for the parties... so of course they were on my back for NOT dressing up. I was told I was banned.. But who wants to go get 26 pizzas at Costco dressed up as a bumblebee or whatever people dress up these days :) Needless to say, I was the grinch of Halloween. However, Michelle and I got convinced to go to Salt Lake and dress up with a bunch of our friends.. Now who can resist dressing up with telle-tubbies! I will say, we had a blast! They all played the part, and it was a lot of fun! We told the guys that they weren't allowed to leave us all night, and had to keep us safe, and boy did the tele-tubbies deliver on that one :)

JD, Kirk, Nick, and Matt
If I only had pictures of Kirk (yellow one) hopping and skipping downtown Salt Lake.. It was a moment no one should have missed...

And no one can forget our cowboy Russ ;) What a stud!

Happy 25th Birthday to me!

Well.. the day has come and gone. It was filled with many surprises! I will have to say that I was really excited for this birthday to come.. not because of the presents and the 110% attention on me, because I absolutely can't stand that, shocking I know.. However, I feel like 25 is an awesome age to say to people for some reason. BUT, I will say that I got more people saying to me, "WOW, you're 25. You look like you are 18. Man, you are going to be one HOT 40 year old". Thanks for the compliment people, but please don't tell me I look barely legal....Being 25 is great! I feel more mature, even though I probably don't act like it, and actually an adult, even though I don't like being one 98% of the time, but MOST importantly I can finally rent a car!!!!!! I'm sooo excited about that!
I had to work on my birthday, which was alright, because Jared had all the department heads and close people sing to me. Oh how I don't like being sung to... But it was fun! HR took me to the Olive Garden for lunch , "It's tradition!", with a bunch of other co-workers. That's always a crazy ol' time. As I we were walking outside, I look to my car and it is covered with paint all over the windows.. after some searching, I pieced it all together and caught the person! Leave it to Michelle! She thinks she's so clever! I get back to work, and once again another surprise is waiting for me... A bouquet of pretty flowers from Michelle with a hilarious card. Michelle definitely went all out for my birthday this year! She's Awesome!
John took me out to dinner, and we went to a haunted house. It was fun, especially since we haven't gone to one yet. I think John got more scared then I did, touching I know. Then he told me we could watch a movie of my choice... of course I first think of Enchanted and Ever After... but, surprisingly enough, I chose Transformers 2. I love that movie! and of course John was happy with my picking :)
Friday night, Michelle and I were planning on having a girls night dinner at Texas Roadhouse.. and I show up and there's 17 friends waiting for me. Pictures will help explain the night....
Happy Birthday to Me!

Bear Lake, Utah

John, my parents and I took a drive up to Logan and Bear Lake. My dad never saw where I went to school at Utah State my freshman year, so we took him for a little tour. Then we proceeded up the canyon into Bear Lake...so minus the very curvy roads where I wanted to puke all over John's lap, this was the view right as you enter into Bear Lake... Gorgeous!

John loves carrying me and picking me up for some reason :) Maybe, it makes him feel more manly? I don't know how much more manly he can get though????

My mother, and brother Sean and his girlfriend Lindsey came up from Arizona.

Friday, September 18, 2009

My parents came in town... or I guess they have been in town for over a month now. We were all planning going down to Monument Valley, and Sean and his girlfriend Lindsey were going to drive up from Arizona and meet us there. However, my dad decided to come down with a bad case of the gout, and hasn't been able to do much of anything, especially walk. Sean and Lindsey drove up and surprised my parents for Labor Day weekend. We still don't understand how she puts up with him...
John is back! It's been a long summer, but we made it! We went minature golfing with Sean and Lindsey... I am pretty sure I won. Of Course!

CT Reunion

Heather Ellefson messaged me telling me there was going to be a small CT gathering at the park in Highland. Heather left before we were able to take a whole group picture, but here are some that were able to get in the shot. Gina and Cori Moore were in town visiting friends and family. Of course, it's always so good to see them!
We figured I should hold the baby, and make everyone think I skipped the marriage, and just had the baby...but in reality, it's really Gina's little girl. We keep telling Carlos he's not the father for being such a cute little girl, with blond hair!!!Then the Andersons came too! Kathy hasn't changed :)

Happy 6th Months to Me!

Another month has gone by, but were on the home stretch here! John's brother Robert called me at like 9:30 this past Saturday morning, and I was luckily awake that morning for some reason.. He tried to explain to me that John apparently left something in my car, and he wanted him to look for it. I think John forgot what a clean freak I am.. because I know exactly everything that is in my car, and I knew for a fact that there was nothing left in there.
Robert was having trouble finding my place, being a new development and all we aren't located on mapquest yet. So I gave him directions, and Robert shows up with these beautiful flowers, roses to be exact. Pink and Red :) They were so pretty! Thanks Robert!!!

John was sad to be away for our 6th month and my talk on Sunday (which was all on Sunday) so he thought this would cheer me up! He was right! Gotta love my bf :)

How could you ever get mad at this face?

Happy Pioneer Day!

It was an eventful weekend... fireworks, Texas Roadhouse, crazy carnival, walking a marathon (well not literally, but we parked like forever from our car, and I of course complained the whole way), Owlz baseball game, gave a talk on Pioneers, and of course a little shopping! Our dear friend Jason is leaving us for Med-school in Texas this week, so we wanted to have one last hoorah for him before he moved on to bigger and better things!

What's left of the ol' crew....

Good ol' Jay!! Waiting for the fireworks to start..

New York

I am ashamed to say that John and I didn't take any pictures from my trip... I guess we were so caught up in pure emotional bliss that I didn't even think about taking pictures. It was a really quick but fun trip! I was able to take the ferry into Connecticut from Long Island. It was really convienent and quick to just hop right on, and my brother Kyle and mom were waiting on the other side!
John and I were also able to go into Connecticut and visit with the family for the day. We took a drive down memory lane with my parents all around where I grew up in Connecticut. I got to show him my old house that I grew up in for 14 years. He was jealous! Oh, how I miss that house! Then I went to my old stomping grounds at Newtown High... I definitely did NOT miss that! It was an overall fun day with John and my family. I don't think he got too scared ;)
Oh how I can't forget the flying part of my trip... My flight was two hours late leaving, and two hours late coming back. I took really late night flights, so when I finally landed in Salt Lake, I was graced with a flat tire in the parking lot. That is NOT something anyone wants to see at 1am. So what did I do.. I called John, and cried... I was sure he would find a solution to the problem! Luckily, a woman was driving by that fixed these problems.. So well before I knew it was on my way :)

Oh how I miss this boy...what a beautiful sight :)

Zions National Park

My friend Jason invited me to go to Zions National park with a bunch of people this weekend. We were supposed to hike Buckskin Gulch on the Arizona/utah border..but the weather made us change our plans.. You don't want to be caught in the canyon with the chance of flash flooding. We ended up camping in Zions and then hiking Observation Point which was also in the park...4 miles up, and 4 miles back.. Wow... Worth it though!

A little taste of Heaven...

California was so much fun! John has been a few times, so he was able to navigate all around showing me all the hot spots! We stayed in Santa Monica/LA with a friend, and was literally minutes from the beach.
The first day we got there we hit up Venice Beach.. A-maz-ing!!! I think I seriously could live on the beach all day, everyday! Then we went to the Boardwalk on Venice beach and were trying to score some sweet deals... talk about all kinds of people!!! Wow... is all I can say. I was then able to see around Beverly Hills, Hollywood, LA...
Friday we went to Six Flags which was a lot of fun! A lot of pretty intense rides, and not that long of a wait :) And saturday I literally found where I am going to move one day.. We went down to Orange County and saw Downtown Disney, Laguna Beach, and Huntington Beach... John's best friend got a group together and we then went to Huntington Beach and had a bonfire... John and I were able to fulfill the saying "long walks on the beach" ;)... we might have gotten a little lost along the way.. jk. The trip was pretty much amazing!!!

CALIFORNIA!!!

This is just a SMALL preview of what is to come.. I don't usually do previews to future posts.. but quite frankly, this is a must do! John is taking me to California for my first time ever this week, and boy, it's going to be an awesome vacation!!!! Were going to the beach, LA area, Santa Monica Pier, BEACH, Six Flags, BEACH BEACH BEACH!!! Don't be jealous Mom :)

We are staying in LA for 4 days...I always wanted to bike down these paths along side the beach... so we are going to either bike/rollerblade down on the boardwalk on Venice Beach... I think this is as close to Heaven as I am going to get...

Don't be Jealous....

One of the best feelings in the world is getting flowers delievered to you at work... One surprise that I have always loved.. John sent me these beautiful roses to my job, and I absolutely loved them :)

He must have been feeling guilty for something, because then I got these yesterday on my bed... Just waiting for me... He knows my favorite flowers are star lilies. Aren't they so pretty!!!

As most of you know, John and I love to country dance...I know this really doesn't show much, except how cute we are...but I will get some pictures of some of the sweet lifts he's able to do with me...the ones where he doesn't drop me on my knee ;)
