Utah Lake

Ahhh, nothing like a Saturday on the lake... Daniel has sea doos, and I was the lucky rider! I was able to drive, which is soo much better than being the passenger... I definitely was crusing pretty fast, for me I guess :) It was a beautiful day, even though the clouds say otherwise!
Crazy Kyle... Enough said...

Happy 4th of July Weekend!

This 4th of July Weekend has been filled with non-stop fun! I think this is truly my new favorite holiday, AND Provo Utah is where I want to be celebrating it! Imagine that! There was so much going on between Provo's Freedom Festival and friends, that I am truly exhausted... Very grateful I didn't have to work today :) There were so many little things happening, and blogger is weird posting pictures... So were going to do it by event!
First, We went to the Balloon Festival early Saturday Morning... 6:30am, might I add, and of course I snatched a picture of just Coke! It was freezing because the sun wasn't up, and apparently, when the sun starts to come up it gets rid of some of the wind? Never understood that stuff...
However, they were only able to launch three, because of the wind. I was SOO exccited to see this coke bottle! How sweet is that thing just floating in the air! The Erin sensors went off, and I dodged to this one!

Four Wheelin up AF Canyon

Nate w/ his cute wife Kaitlyn, Austin and I went four wheeling on Saturday up American Fork Canyon. Destination: Forest Lake! I have no clue how ANYONE can/ would/want, to take drive there cars/trucks up here! Well, the lake was absolutely beautiful. BUT, I am suffering back pains because of this so-called trail we took up there. Between the huge rocks, rivers we crossed, mud paths we went through, and more and more and more rocks we went over... We finally made it!
Our team!

This was at the bottom, before we treked up. You can't see from this picture, but right below this is a little lake where people go fishing, swimming (burr!), and take there canoes out. It was soo pretty up here!

This is Forest Lake! It was sooo pretty!

Stadium of FIRE!

I have been waiting for this day... well, probably since I bought the tickets back in March. Carrie Underwood, a Country Music Goddess, Entertainer of the Year came to the Stadium of Fire!!!! Usually, the performer they bring out every year doesn't sing the National Anthem, but when it came time to do that Carrie came out... I literally got chills. She is seriously amazing!

Three years ago, almost to the day, Jake and I met... what a long three years it has been!! jk. I got tickets to go to Stadium of Fire to see Brooks and Dunn, and I took my best friend Michelle instead. Jake, feeling like our relationship was at a different level, got quite upset because I didn't take him... so three years have passed, it still has been held over my shoulder to this very day... So to get this off my shoulder, I asked Jake to come with me, and I am finally clear of this!

We had a lot of fun :) She put on an Amazing show!
STADIUM OF FIRE!!! They always put on a really good fireworks show afterwards! They had an outline of the United States with Boy Scouts holding these blue lights, and then all these young dancers nationwide holding the lights inside. It was kinda cool.

Freedom Run 2010- 10k

I did it! I finally ran my first run/competition/race! It was a lot of fun. Running is not really my fortay you could say... I've been running for the last few months, and my only goal was to finish without stopping. I not only didn't stop, but I ran like a 9-10 min mile. To most, this could be very slow... But for me, I was SOO happy with that! My final time was 58.10. For not running outside once, I was really proud of my time and performance.. HOWEVER, I am feeling the effects the next day. My shins are hurting, and I am walking around like an old woman...
Jake decided to run with me, which was really good because I was honestly sooo nervous to run. I couldn't believe all the people that came out to run. There were over a thousand people running the 10k, but there was also a 5k/mile and then a wheelchair 10k/5k/mile as well. I didn't get a picture of it, but Steve Young ran as well. He finished I think at like 55-56 min. I was feeling pretty good about my time after that... even though I am like half his age.

Cul-de-sac of fire

We (liz in middle, Megan on right) went to this neighborhood cul-de-sac of fire BBQ. It was a lot of fun.. good entertainment, and some fun fireworks....I think a kid might be running through them in this one.. It was a great way to end the 4th of July!
