Virginia

Jake, Tanner and I just got back from a quick get away to visit family in Virginia. It was so fun seeing Jake's family and being apart of the big surprise birthday party for his uncle. We were able to ride horses, Jake rode a mechanical bull, visited his uncles college Southern Virginia, and just relaxed with family all weekend. The ranch was absolutely incredible!

Tanner's first time on a horse.

I decided that I need to ride more often. This is my 3rd time on a horse, and it hopefully isn't my last.

I love this sweet little guy.

Just cruising around in the Razors.

Tanner's Blessing Day

We decided to bless Tanner on Christmas Eve, at Jakes parents home. Jake gave a beautiful blessing, and Tanner slept through most of it :)

So grateful for this little guy!

Proud Mama!

3-4 months

Ever since Tanner was born, I feel a little behind on a lot of things. It's amazing how even though I quit my job, I still feel like I don't have enough time in the day to get things done. Welcome to Motherhood, is what everyone keeps on telling me. Tanner is almost 4 months. I can't even believe where time has gone. Even though we are so excited for him to start talking, walking and giving us huge hugs I can't help but get sad how fast he is growing.
Our little guy is about 14 lbs 5 oz now, 24 inches. He loves to sit up, and he is so close on doing it all himself. His laughs and smiles are seriously contagious. I can't get enough of them!! I am convinced he loves his dad more than me, but I love the bond that they have formed with each other. He started sleeping through the night on January 1st, and we couldn't be more pleased with this accomplishment. He decided to start the year off right!
Jake is seriously the best dad! Every night we have established a nightly routine.... It took us a little bit to get his nights and days back on track (around 3 months), but we are finally there. I will give him a bath, and then Jake will read him a short story.

Each stage is fun, exciting, and definitely a new challenge. He is the best thing that has happened to Jake and I, and we love this little guy more and more each day. Being a mom is something that I have always wanted and knew was my divine calling in this life. I know I still have a lot to learn, but I am so grateful that Tanner has given my life true purpose.

Tanner Jacob

Introducing Tanner Jacob. Born October 30, at 12:28pm, 7 lb 3 oz, and 20 inches long. Here are just a few of the pictures we got of our little guy at about 10 days old. He did really well, till the last shot. His crying expression was cute though :)
I absolutely love how they turned out, and we are just so in love with this little guy!

Christmas came early!!!

Baby Quilt

I decided that for each child we have, I was going to make a baby quilt for when they were born. It's been a challenging project because I wanted it to be absolutely perfect for our little guy. I am no quilter and I still have a lot to learn. But, each quilt I have made I will say is a little better...but only a little!
When I took this quilt to get quilted, it was a bit humbling because the lady kind of ripped my quilt apart.. in a constructive and respectful way of course... I then decided that I don't think I will ever be an advanced quilter, because it's seriously so tedious and complicated :) I like my shortcuts and the way I decide to do it!
Here it is

So glad it's done!!! And so excited for the little guy to come?!!
